Merrell Chameleon EVO Gore-Tex® XCR® Hiking Shoes - Waterproof (For Men)

I've never owned Merrell shoes before so I can't comment on the durability or function. I will say that they fit like a glove right out of the box (size 9.5) and seem to be very well made (China). My only problem with them was the color. These shoes are mainly brown, but have an orange-ish tint. I purchased these to wear as office shoes on inclement days, and with the color & style, they just look a bit too goofy for that purpose. Overall though; comfortable, sturdy and functional.

These are great shoes. They were ready for the trails right out of the box. Vibram soles are always quality. I would definatley buy another pair (especially for this price!!!). Also the Gore-Tex makes them the perfect outdoor shoe! Do yourself a favor and get yourself a pair

The last pair of Merrell Chameleon's were such a great shoe that I bought another pair from Sierra Trading Post at a great price.

These are my second pair. I used these as my every day landscaping shoe for a year. Mowing, chain sawing, digging etc. Great traction, feet stayed dry and the inside liners wore out before the soles did. They took a beating.

I was interested in a hiking boot/shoe that could also be worn in a casual manner. A buddy of mine that just retired after 33 years in the Navy mentioned that the Navy Seals themselves like the style I got and had no problems with them at all. After looking at the prices of the boots I must admit I was a little taken back. With that said I still made the purchase and happy I did! I've never purchased any footwear that I could take out of the box and have it ready to be worn without a break-in period. I'm confident the hiking shoes will provide me with great traction on the trails and support when needed as well as protection from the elements. I'm already looking forward to my next purchase as well as recommending these to my father (an avid hunter) and brother (a professional outdoorsman)!!
