Pros:
Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction
Cons:
Down Sloped
Best Uses:
Day hikes
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Sizing:
Feels half size too big
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Great traction, and breathe really good. Fit is a little loose around the mid foot. I found the design of the sole is a bit hokey and makes me feel like I am ona down slope on level ground, which causes too much forward pressure on actual downhills. But worth a try if looking for a good breathing shoe.

I bought these shoes to use for light hiking and running and I couldn't have asked for a better shoe. They are very comfortable and light. They still hold up on runs and on rough terrain. I might buy an second pair just to have.

I am a long distance trail runner wearing an 11 1/2 medium shoe. I also run in Asics and Brooks trail shoes and road shoes.
The Merrells are very comfortable and broke in quickly for me. They offer good support for the slamming a trail gives them, and they're light enough to use on moderate dirt roads.
They are a little wide and don't offer too much stability for pivot on rocks and really bouncing down an uneven trail. This is in comparison to the Brooks Cascadia's, which are my perfect trail shoe. But they were about as good as my Asic Gel Sensors.
Cheers!

Great shoe. These are my 2nd pair. I haven't worn out the first pair yet and I wear them everyday. Great shoe for my pronated feet with my ortotic insoles
