Merrell Darbie Down Jacket - 800 Fill Power (For Women)

The coat was not as filled with down as I anticipated. But I understand that the 800 fill means that you get the warmth but not the weight.

Nice color and weight. Useful as a warm but lightweight layer or can be worn alone.

A stylish, lightweight and warm down jacket. The cut is "fitted" or runs slightly small.

I have another color in this same jacket, and love it, but I wanted black as well. I ordered the same size as the same jacket I have in Persian Red, but the black fit smaller. It fit, but too snugly, and i dont like puffer jackets tight. It s a great jacket, as the fabric is soft and not shiny-quite comfortable. Not for very cold weather, but perfect for transitional cool weather. Unfortunately I had to return it, but knew the larger size would be too large.

I took advice of other reviews and ordered a size up. Fits and looks great. Feels really thin, but is very very warm. I guess that's the whole draw of 800 fill power.
