    These shoes are great quality, as you would expect from Merrell. I was looking for a taller boot similar to a pair of slip on Merrells that I already own. Unfortunately, they are not as pictured. They look orthopedic and have purple fabric on the back.

    I was so hopeful that these would work. They looked so well made. They weren't the easiest to get on and off as you had to get your foot beyond that awkward shaft/ankle spot, but I could tell they would be nice... BUT even though I measured my calf at the height the boot indicated the shaft came to, I couldn't close the boot over my calf. That, combined with the fact that they weren't the easiest on/off I reluctantly decided to send them back and continue my search for warm, easy on/off boots. SNARL.

    I really LOVE these boots. The only reason I gave them a 4 is because, after wearing them for 3 hours, there is something in the structure of the boot that hurts the inside of my right foot. Otherwise, they really rock!
