    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have tried in years. The foot opening requires a shoehorn and I had to fairly force my foot in. That pulled my socks so tight they were strangeling my toes. I have a high instep, and the very small elastic triangles couldn't expand to fit it. Bad design. They are on their way back as we speak... Stick with ECCO, Timberland, Hushpuppie or Clarks for comfort.
