5.0 out of 5 stars. She loves them.Verified Buyer Reviewed by C.Smith from Wenatchee on Sunday, September 11, 2016Bought them for my 8 year old for hiking but as of yet I haven't bean able to get her to take them off.
She feels that they go great with dresses and shorts and would wear them to school if I'd let her.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love These!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by momof5 from South Dakota on Sunday, July 31, 2016Third pair of these for our 3 boys. These shoes wear like iron!! I've been able to pass down smaller sizes to the younger boys and they are still in great condition. They run true to size and are easy to get on.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice boot!Reviewed by Hondo from Northern Virginia on Friday, July 8, 2016Time will tell, but the second my 8-year-old put these on his feet, he said, "These are really comfortable". They are international sizing, and it's my sense they run a tad small. For the money, I'm sorry now that I didn't buy a second pair the next size up for when he grows out of his current size. I've owned other Merrell boots, and they are generally quite durable and well-made. I'm sure they'll hold up better than the Deer Stag boots I bought for him here at STP. Those looked like they'd survive a nuclear blast, but within eight months were wearing through in various spots, and BOTH soles separated from the mid-soles, rendering them quite useless. He usually out-grows his boots before he wears them out, but not in the case of the Deer Stags. I'm confident these Merrell's will hold up as well as his present Merrell Hiking Shoes which are doing quite well. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great BuyVerified Buyer Reviewed by WyoSkiGirl from Wyoming on Wednesday, June 15, 2016My daughter loves having real hiking boots. These fit great, like all Merrell, and she finds them comfortable (she's picky). Fit was true to size.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Waterproof the only way to go!Reviewed by We5ski from Utah on Friday, April 29, 2016Hiking in Zion National Park through puddles, pools and rain. Bring it on for these waterproof hikers. My son could splash it up and keep his feet dry. He has difficulty getting them on and off himself as he lacks the patience to loosen the laces. Other then that these boots are the bomb! Looking forward to more great hikes this spring, summer and fall. We love STP!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome Boot! Son Loves them!Reviewed by Tizodm80 from New Hampshire on Monday, March 14, 2016We went with the Red/Brown and they look awesome, very classis, not "kid looking". Wore them on a 3mi hike this weekend and they performed perfect. Son said they were very comfy, and they stayed 100% dry through a lot of puddles. As a parent, I will say that I don't like the way they lace at the top. You have to loosen them quite a bit to get feet inside as they lack the lace hooks most boots have at the top and use holes instead which the laces therefore stay attached. My son ties his own shoes of course, but these just require some more work to get on / off. I understand why they likely did that, and it's fine, just worth noting. Overall EXCELLENT boots. I'm glad I bought 2x pairs so when he's done with the Size 2, we can move right to the Size 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect for muddy hikes with our 5-year old!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Becca from VIrginia on Thursday, February 25, 2016Our son loves these because they are comfortable and supportive. We love them because they keep his feet dry and give him the extra care on the rockiest, muddiest trails, to go as far as he wants. We will order these again!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great boot for boysVerified Buyer Reviewed by Robby's mom from Bucks County, PA on Thursday, December 3, 2015My 6 year old recently joined the Cub Scouts. After checking a few stores, including the big box sporting good stores, I had a hard time finding him a decent pair of boots. I was happy to find these at a fraction of the original price! So far he's worn them on a 5 mile hike and he likes to wear them to school. They're sturdy but not too bulky for daily wear.
