There is no insole and no support in this shoe. I need arch support so I simply added my own insole and these became exceptionally comfortable shoes. I typically were a 5.5 or 6. I ordered the 6 and adding an insole worked fine. The color isn't my favorite (lavender/lilac) but they'll work fine for casual summer "runaround" shoes.
