The length is not right. The shoe labelled an 8.5 cannot even measure to an 8. So we pay for the opportunity to "try" these and when they do not fit, it should not be the consumers fault. Post a notice they run small. I bought two pairs, as I am a loyal customer to Merrell, Born and Clarks, but a lack of consistency will drive me to another brand.

I always order a size 8 in Merrells and they fit perfect but these were the exception. I would have gotten a half size larger but they werent offered in an 8 1/2. I really loved the fact that they were soooo light weight and probably would have been nice and cool in the summer with the mesh like fabric. All in all they are a great shoe- just run a tad small.

Curiously, I found the exact same shoe in the same size at a local store and they fit perfectly. STP may have had a bad batch? Be careful returning. They charge a $6.95 return service charge. Not a happy customer.

I normally wear a 7.5 to 8 and I ordered an 8. They were almost too small but I think an 8.5 would have been too big. Fortunately they stretched just a bit so I was able to get my foot in far enough for them to fit. I don't think a wide foot would find them comfortable because the top part was pretty tight.

I normally wear a 9 and I had to return them for a 9 1/2. They didn't have any size 10 or I would have exchanged them again. So basically - they run a small by a full size. Now that I have that out of the way - these are light, breathable and comfortable. They look very nice. They are my perfect Florida casual shoe.
