    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I got the turquoise in small. i'm 5' 7" about 115lbs and the fit is good. but it's too bright, almost electric. a much less muted tone than it looks in the pic & this is not really what i was looking for. But my main problem with this jacket is that the front is WAY shorter than the back. from the side it looks silly & ill-fitting. I much prefer my Merrel Mariposa rain jacket which fits awesome & the color mojito is so cool.

    I used this in the tropics and found it too hot and sticky for rainwear, but it was great in transition to and from a cold climate with a layer system. This is a beautifully made and striking jacket, but it's not breathable. It will be perfect here at home.

    This jacket is great as a rain coat in warmer weather or as an outer layer in colder rain. It does have a rubber backing which may not make it breathable in warmer weather. The quality is what you would expect from this brand.

    Although I loved the color, liked that it could zip into own pocket, fit was good,(size Large - I'm 6', 160#) I returned b/c coat felt "rubbery" inside and one of the pit zips was very stiff. Went with another rain coat that was longer and softer feeling.

    I was a little surprised when I got it, because it is not lined like a windbreaker with cotton inside. So it feels kind of weird if you wear it with short sleeves. But otherwise, it's a great coat, LOVE the color, and fits nice.
