My son thinks these boots are very comfortable. They run true to size. Overall very happy!

I purchased these boots because I wanted a lighter smaller more shoe-like boot. These fit the bill. When I got them however, it was pretty obvious that they were going to be too narrow. I wore them around the house and they came off my feet in less then 2 minutes. They were also WAY lighter then I anticipated. I would like to see them a *bit* more macho, and about an inch wider, lol.

These are great boots, true to size with Merrell brand. I got these just in time when we had 5 days of rain.

This is actually a nice light sneaker-like shoe. Not really a boot at all. It fit my low-volume, average-width feet pretty well, and it felt quite comfortable, especially when I tried it with a little beefier insole. This would be a nice shoe for the urban hiker who occasionally gets out on a trail for day hikes and wants something water resistant and high enough to keep out debris and sock-stickers. I tried them on but didn't think they were quite right for me and so sent them back. I normally wear a size 12 in most shoes, and this size 12 seemed true to length and width, though I don't think it would work well for people with high-volume feet.

Bought these for the husband and he really wanted to like them, esp. at the great STP price, but he complained that there was no arch support and it felt too narrow. His brother was visiting and feel in love with the look of the shoe but when he tried them, he felt his feet were rolling in at the ankle. We tried to put his orthotics in and it still didn't help. Neither men felt they could wear these comfortably. Back they go.

Great boot for my husband. These boots have the Merrell fit he has always liked and don't collect pounds of soil when he walks through mud as he must do for work. He is sensitive to rubs on the ankle bone and also has a weak area in one foot but these well made boots support where needed without rubbing. The boots are great looking too, especially for a hiking boot.

I recommend ordering 1/2 size larger than your normal shoe size. Even so, these boots are hard to put on, but once on are comfortable.

Have had numerous Merrell footwear over the years. Mountain trail running, mountain hiking, wilderness expeditionsof all kinds, including extended sea kayak expeditions on Lake Powell, and just plain knocking around town. And Merrell has always been there: fits like a glove right out of the box. As the years now advance, hope to see many more days in my Merrells. At least until my breathing stops.

My husband has a narrow foot and we just ordered the regular M and it was so narrow he could hardly get his foot into the shoe no matter how much we loosened the shoe strings. The shoe was very light and good looking wish it would have fit. Had to send it back.

I buy only Merrell footware since from experience I find their products to be of excellent quality and fit. The Mix Master Mid Hiking Boots are no exception. Because I do a lot of walking on the beach in all sorts of weather and temperature the waterproof breathable construction is a welcome feature and keeps my feet dry. I did have to return them for the next larger size. This exchange was done painlessly, efficiently and courteously with a simple phone call. I continue to frequent Sierra for many of my purchases.
