    This shoe suffers from the "Merrell syndrome"--cheap, unsupportive inserts that make your feet feel like there's not much between you and the street. With the cost of good quality orthotics so low these days, why does this maker of a very good shoe continue to stint on this important element?!

    Although the shoe is by no means wide, I have very wide feet, and was able to find a reasonably comfortable fit. I sometimes wear a size 10.5 to accommodate my feet wideness, but in these I was able to fit into a 10.

    I wear prescription orthotics, and buying shoes is hell. This is my second pair of Motos, the first pair lasted long, stayed comfortable and supportive. Heel eventually wore down. A bit on the stiff side. The Merrill Downforce are even more comfy, but I haven't worn them much yet.
