Reviewed by sureindeed from Cincinnati on Saturday, May 17, 2014I have the shoe version of these boots which sport the identical outsole. Once I saw the comment left by someone else about the bottoms falling apart at front, I felt compelled to write to you all my experience. Within couple of weeks of purchase, the front of the outsole began to erode. The other customer complained of 'separation' but mine simply began to crumble away. A larger piece I glued before it completely fell off but other smaller pieces are gone and it shows a little on the shape of the shoe. Unfortunate really because I am a big Merrell fan and most of their other products are of exceptional quality; these outsoles however have a defect. I recommend not purchasing the line that sports the same out. Aside from that fundamental flaw, the shoe is of fine leather and swell comfort, as I've come to expect from this company. Cheers...
Reviewed by rsgobo from yardley, pa on Monday, August 12, 2013These boot fit great and look great but after less than a week of normal street wear the soles are separating in the front toe box area on BOTH boots. I have chosen to glue them instead of return. I have owned many Merrell boots and shoe's over the years and have never had this type of issue. Ah so it goes.....
