Merrell Quick Jacket - Waterproof (For Women)

I use this jacket for everyday wear in the Pacific NW. I mainly wanted something waterproof. This jacket has definitely kept me dry. And the hood is great. I love it. I got the olive colored one, and it's beautiful. The pattern on it really adds to the jacket. The only draw back are the sleeves. They are too long. I roll them up once and they are fine. They do have velcro so you could just tighten them, but I don't like that look. Only other complaint is it a little shorter than I wanted. When sitting down, it can ride up a little and show my back. Overall, an excellent buy and I highly recommend it.

I bought this jacket for travel purposes. It looks like it will pack down small, and is attractive enough not to look like backcountry gear. I wore it in a pretty intense wind storm a few days go, and was toasty warm. I was worried that it would be really thin, like some of the "light" waterproof jackets, but the fabric is slightly more substantial. It's not a thick or insulated as a cold weather jacket, if that is what you are looking for.

I read the other complaints about the sleeves being too long and was very relieved. I generally have to buy jackets that are much too large in my torso area to accomodate my long arms. I am thin, so I usually look like a snowman. This jacket is perfect. It is cut short, so it does not cover your backside, but would be great for travel. Note that it has an almost pin-stripe pattern to it (slightly darker than the fabric color) all over. I like it, but didn't know that the pattern would be obvious.

Another review mentioned the sleeves were too long. The closure on the sleeves is velcro so not even an issue once you adjust them. Great fabric, very durable. Love the color of the blue. Ordered the M and L because I am usually a 12 in a jacket. Kept the Large.

I was looking for a shell style jacket that I could wear a fleece under. do alot of winter hiking, snowshoeing, skiing and wanted something that would keep me dry, and the wind out, LOVE IT! the sleeves are long, but not enough for me to return it!

Unfortunately I had to return this jacket. The sleeves were almost three inches too long.
