I have a bad back and spend my day on pavement. My back has not hurt once since I have been wearing them.

I wear these on trail hikes in the Rockies. Traction is really nice and the shoes are very comfortable. A little wider in the toe box than what I would like, but hey - they're Merrells - that says it all.

Good looking, feel very durable; have to double not the laces tho', so they won't slide loose

These shoes are wonderful! I was looking for something that offered great support for my arch and cushioning under the ball area of my feet. These feel better than the last 3 pairs of running shoes I've bought, which offered little cushioning around that ball area and made exercising a chore. Now I don't dread hitting the treadmill to walk or jog. They are a little heavier than traditional running/walking shoes.

I love these shoes. They are the most comfortable athletic shoes I have ever had. They are nice because you can wear them to work when you wear casual clothes.

I actually exercise a lot, but never in a gym, so I am not a "gym rat". I bought these shoes when a friend and I decided to start walking together. I have a 35+ lbs two-year-old whom I carry in a back pack so I can push one of her boys in my stroller, while she pushes the other. After our first walk, I knew my old shoes wouldn't cut it, and standard walking shoes weren't going to be enough. I LOVE these Merrells. I have always worn this brand for hiking & casual wear, and am sold on these cross-trainers. We walk 4 miles up & down hills on pavement, and my feet feel great!
