    This is my second pair of these shoes. They fit well and have good support for our hikes up some rocky trails and along the river bluffs. They hold up well in wet, muddy conditions. I've worn the first pair several times a week for a year and they seem like new.

    For some reason, after wearing the shoe a couple days, I've found that the tongue of the right shoe presses into the front of my ankle, causing some pain. I have to be sure when I tie my shoes that the upper lacing is snug so the tongue doesn't slip, causing the pain. Otherwise, the shoes are great, esp. in the snow.

    I am so glad I splurged (for me) on these shoes. I had bought a pair of Merrell's street shoes and I noticed how happy my feet were when I wore them. Meanwhile, on my daily work-out walk, my feet were not so happy. I noticed an immediate improvement in my knees and lower back when I started walking in these crosstrainers.     Very comfortable shoe although not a high arch support but that I find rarely in shoes. I have a very wide foot but there was still comfortable space at the front of the shoe. I would imagine the shoe would be much too wide for someone with a normal foot width which is why I wrote that the shoe is too wide. I normally take a 6US 36 Europe and this was the size I ordered~perfect fit.

    Being overweight with a recent knee replacement and weak feet/ankles, this shoe has almost eliminated tired, painful feet and knees. I can walk as much as I want on any surface with confidence. After wearing 3-4 times, I purchased another identical pair and am thinking about a third pair. You can count on Merrell.

    I purchased my first pair of these shoes at a local shoe store where they fit orthotics, and I wore those out, so I was thrilled to see these at nearly half the price. They are comfortable, and quite water-resistant. The only cons are that they do tend to be a little warm in the summer, and they have a little less arch support than I would normally like, but since I use orthotics most of the time anyway, that's not a big deal.

    I bought a pair of merrells 2.3 years ago and they still are great but I have worn the heel down so I opted for a new pair. These are just as great so far and comfortable. They have all the qualities I have come to expect from Merrell; well worth the purchase price, at any cost I am on my feet 9 hours a day on cement and I walk my dogs every evening. My shoes have to be perfect, and these are.
