I bought this boot to have more ankle support while hiking. It is great! (Before I hiked in trail shoes). I added my custom orthotic under the insole for extra comfort. The first day out I hiked 8 miles in the mountains and they were perfect...not a single rub or blister. Great support and comfo... Read More

I bought these for my husband, who is a Scoutmaster. He need new hiking boots. He LOVES them, and and even wears them, on occasion, to walk to the train. He has no complaints whatsoever.

I really like these boots. Only complaint is that they seem to flair out at the top so junk falls in and down the shoe. Other then that, all good!

At first it seemed to fit perfectly (in the house) but a single day of surveying left my feet sore and aching. The footbed that comes with it is light weight and useless so I replaced it with just a midline Dr. Shoals and it made a huge difference. I have other boots (Asolo TPS 520's) for working in the woods but this seems to be good for Village/City land surveys and trips to the mall.

Gift for husband who will only wear Merrell hiking boots due to durability, fit & being lightweight for serious hiking. Out of box worn for a few hours up into mountains. Stated few blisters from being new, felt good overall & nice support.

I bought these boots for my husband. He has a hard time spending money so I just ordered them and gave them to him. He likes the way they look and, more importantly, the way they feel. At work he tromps around outside most of the day and they are perfect. We are hiking to a lodge next weekend and he plans to wear them. I expect they will do fine. My husband has a very long and kind of skinny foot. These boots fit great. They may be too narrow for a wide foot. All in all, these were a good purchase. His old hiking boots had a shoe lace wrapped and tied around them to hold on the bottom. These are a super improvement and my husband is glad I bought them.
