Merrell Riot Trail Shoes (For Women)

I purchased these Merrill shoes to replace other Merrill walking/hiking shoes that I should have purchased three or four of before they disappeared. Merrill's quality is trustworthy.

Very nice quality shoes. A little roomy in the toe area, but this is good for hiking and not losing toenails. Nice looking too, and great for casual wear. True to size (I went up half a size thinking about my toes on long hikes, but had to exchange them for my true size).

I wear these shoes every day. Comfortable for my hiking on trail.

I bought my first pair of these in January, 2010, in size 7. I wanted a good pair of trail shoes for training and participating in the Oil Creek 5oK Trail Race in Titusville, PA, in October. For the first time, I found a pair of shoes that supports my feet as well as boots, at a lighter weight and cooler than boots. Because my feet are two different sizes, when I saw these shoes go on sale recently, I bought another pair in size 6.5. That's how much I love them!

wore these for the first on a hiking day. Plenty of room for my toes and no break-in needed. I could have worn them for 24 hrs. I would buy these again.

These Merrells seem to be built on a different last. I have several other pairs of Merrells. The toe box on these shoes is very cramped compared to other Merrell shoes. Also, the shoelaces were too short. I loved the look of them but had to return them becuase they cramped my toes.

I bought these to replace a pair of Puma running shoes as a daily wear/light hiking shoe. So far I much prefer them over the Pumas, as the flatter sole seems to support walking better. They do seem to run a touch wide, but that is not a complaint on my part. One caution is that being partly mesh, they will not keep water out. I also have to say I love the style. The laces and camo on the sole are great touches.

I wear these shoes for everyday. They were comfortable right away. Lots of support and cushion.

I love the Merrell brand and have many pairs of their shoe, mostly clogs. This is the first pair of lace-up shoes - and they are incredibly comfortable. The laces are round and therefore do come loose, but that is remedied by double tying them. The day they arrived I walked four miles in them - no break-in required!

Various foot issues make a comfortable shoe hard to find. These are great. Comfortable from the first second I put them on. I was amazed. And they look good too.
