This is a shirt with a good style. I bought it for my husband. It is "work casual" enough to wear while teaching and sporty enough to wear hiking. The material has a nice feel and it is light weight to keep my honey cool! The versatility of changing the sleeves from long to short is also a plus.

Let me say I am a big fan of Merrell's polo shirts so I tried this long sleeve shirt. This shirt's material is awesome as it feels very smooth similar to satin weave. The various colors of this shirt are also great. Unfortunately, they have messed up the fit. I wear a medium in the Merrell polo shirts and they are very comfortable. The medium in this shirt is quite tight around the elbows that for me I could never hike in this shirt and there is not enough freedom to lift my arms more 90 degrees from my side. I wish it was slightly longer in the torso as it is a little short.

I did try the large in this shirt but it there was too much loose fabric around my torso. Though the problem of not being able to lift my arms very far was resolved.

In the end I decided to keep the medium for business casual wear as they do look very nice, and have enough movement for such needs. I did think about keeping the large for just hiking purposes, but it was just too big. I found Woolrich long sleeve hiking shirts that fit better and were 100% nylon on STP.

Looks good and feels good. Didn't get 4 stars because Merrel seems to have a narrow shoulders in their XL (I'm a 44 chest) so the shirt is not overly comfortable

Be sure to by a size larger. Outside of that the shirt was just fine.

Bought a similar Merrell shirt end of year in medium and it fir great but this one is too big for me. It runs larger in every area sleeves are longer, longer shirt tail and is lot fuller in middle. I really like this shirt but must returrn it due to the size.

About Merrell

The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.
