Closeouts. Merrell uses pure merino wool for this active-fit Signal sweater… a light layer of warmth that works well under a shell or on its own during outdoor pursuits. Incredibly soft and warm, merino wool yarns transport moisture away from your skin, control odors and possess none of the itch associated with other kinds of wool. Contrast serge stitching accents arm and shoulder seams and makes intermittent appearances elsewhere.

This is a nice sweater for a casual work environment. I'm an outdoorsy person and I don't want to loose that identity in the city - this sweater helps with that. I got it in black/orange and although the color combo is more striking than the blue or the green, I like it. It wears well. I am getting a little pilling at the end of the sleeves, but I haven't washed it yet, so I'm not sure if they'd come out in the wash. Over-all, I'm happy with it.

I don't know how this sweater would fare 'during outdoor pursuits' since I haven't worn it hiking or skiing, but it's a cool-looking sweater that fits well and is really comfortable - not itchy at all.
