“Merrills usually fit me well and perform well for my uses. These were extremely comfortable right out of the box. Color (red) is much more subdued than I feared, more of a brownish burgundy, which greatly pleased & relieved me! I'm using the shoes for agility, obedience, and herding dog sports (indoors mainly, also on grass and not-too-rocky ground), as well as casual weekend wear--areas where they are doing quite well so far; I cannot yet address longevity. These shoes have enough support and cushioning for my activities, but I doubt they would work well for actual hiking or really rough, rock-climb terrain. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the shoes, especially at the price.”
