    I like the fact these are slip ons. It's hard to find winter shoes that don't have laces or annoying velcro. I'm in and out of the house often so it's very convenient to be able to slip them on and off. They are great for walking the dog as the soles are very stable for snow packed trails and sidewalks. They're also easier to wear for long walks than heavy, clunky winter boots.

    These do not have the cushion factor that the Merrell mocs have but they are insulated better and very stable. I have a narrow foot so with a thicker pair of socks, these are quite comfortable. I needed something for to and from work and out with dogs in the very cold weather. These will do quite well.
