Merrell Thermo Arc Ice Boots - Waterproof, Insulated (For Women)

These boots are warm, fuzzy, cute, and in typical Merrill fashion appear to be well-made and sturdy. Only drawback in my opinion is that the soles are very clunky and walking in them almost feels like walking in heels. That may just be me, since I'm used to wearing very forgiving, bendable-soled shoes and hiking boots - it's been a while since I've had pair of nice, solid winter boots, and maybe they're all like that. All in all, a nice boot that I'm happy with so far.

Great price on these boots. I saw them at an outlet mall for a good bit more than this. Fits great, great insole. True to size in my opinion. Easy on and off.

walking 3-5 miles in the snow

I love these boots and it's the second pair I've purchased this year (in a different color). They are very functional and comfortable. They are not the most beautiful boots (around the toe view), but they are not meant to be. The brand is excellent. True to size for a 6.5.

I have no doubt these would be excellent, comfortable warm winter boots with the exception that they can't be tightened down. I wanted them not just for commute to work or shoveling the snow but for hiking around in the snow and I think they'd slip in the heal too much for that.

I needed a pair of boots that I could wear in deep snow, with good traction on ice and also look good. These boots are perfect. The fit is outstanding and they are great to walk in, hug my feet like they were custom made. The only negative, if you want to call it that, is they do get warm if you are in doors for any length of time and have to keep them on.
