    This shoe has the quality one would expect from Merrell, and I think it would provide adequate cushioning and support for day hikes. Unfortunately, I had a lot of heel slippage which would've led to blisters at the ankle. The toebox also looked disproportionately wide and resembled clown shoes on my size 6 foot. I don't know if they were actually too wide, or if it was an illusion caused by the design of the shoe, but I couldn't get past the goofy appearance so I'm exchanging them for a different Merrell style.
