“I'm planning some cold weather adventures with this jacket, but will be layering up underneath. I've worn it under my mesh motorcycle jacket in 35 degree weather on the interstate, it proved effective at blocking the wind. I have taken bike rides in downpours on the way to school and when I arrive I take off my jacket and am dry from the neck down to where the jacket stopped. I need to get some pants and shoes for wet weather and I will be set. I have taken this on one weekend backpacking trip, the jacket still looks fairly clean even though I did some rock climbing and definitely got some mud, rain, and dirt on it at times. I have not had to wash it yet. Seems durable. I kind of wish it had a hood. I am 5'11" and 145 lbs. Medium is a perfect fit, with enough room to layer some underneath. Merrell can do more than shoes.”
