    I have found Merrells to be consistently among the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned, and these are no exception. No break-in period needed - they were great out of the box. They have a unique design in the way the shoelace area is set off from the leather sides of the shoe. This may not be for everyone, but I think it gives the shoes a distinctive look.
