For a couple of years now I've been looking for a casual/hiking boot in the classic style with stitched on sole and lacing, with the technical features of a good hiking boot. I dislike the current hi-tech hiking boots with the chunky flat sole that curves up at the front and fussy design that just look like men's joggers. I also wanted a slight heel, so you get a better grip and can wear them for horseriding and other sports. These are just what I wanted. out of the box they are even more good looking and the leather is excellent quality. What a great feature, the removable padded gaiters! These are really attractive boots, so nice to find something feminine. I note in the little leaflet they are described as "vintage"! I am a vintage loving gal, I only realised recently that the designs that I am always naturally drawn to are in fact, now considered vintage or retro! I love classic designs that are flattering and practical. I hope to take these boots on a ski trip as my après-boots. This will be a good test of their insulation and water proofing. Oh yes they are true to size for my 6.5b foot. That is both US and Australian sizing.

These are the most comfortable boots ever. They keep my feet warm and need no breaking in. Good quality leather and warm lining. Did not use the leg warmers and do not plan to use them. Bots are true to size.

Nice, light and comfortable, except that the tongue digs into the top of my foot a little. I think they will adjust to my feet quickly. Lots of room for thick socks or inserts. I'm very happy with them. Hope they will hold up well.

Very nice boots. The ankle warmers are a little retro-80's, but I actually used them already! I was out in 20 degree weather for a day of sporting clays and they helped to keep me toasty. That said, I probably won't be using them very often. The boots are nice on their own but I think I may be adding some gel inserts. They could use a bit more cushioning.
