I love that Merrell makes kid's shoes, as so many companies don't put the same quality and care for foot health into kid's shoes as they do in adults. I own many, many pairs of Merrells and I am not disappointed with these. They are well made and comfortable, provide excellent support, and my son says they also "look cool". And you can't beat the prices at Sierra Trading Post. Go Merrell!

Lace system is very stiff to manipulate due to slide piece, but ok once you become familiar. Squeaky sound evident with every step. Otherwise, shoe seems durable, comfortable, and fits a narrow foot well.

A lot of discussion on closing these shoes. The tie does work, you need to use FORCE. Slightly annoying, but they are so comfortable and ,once you get used to them, easy to tie, that I still give it 5 stars

I bought these to wear around Alaska when I went site seeing before and after my marathon and they were perfect. I wanted a track inspired shoe and that's exactly what I got including support. They are white and have suede on them, so you have to expect they're going to get dirty. My advice is to scotch guard them and you'll be good to go!

I've been looking for a shoe that I could wear for walking over Exmoor in England. The annual 50 mile walk takes up Exmoor, covering 50 miles in a week and the week is always one of the hottest each year. I wanted a shoe that would support me, was comfortable and was like a sandal but enclosed my toes. I found just what I was looking for in the Merrell Chameleon II Shoes - Web Leather for women. The great thing about these shoes is that they look great and they perform well. They are designed with women in mind using the Q-form technology which supports women by taking into consideration that the angle between a woman's hip and knee is more pronounced than a man's. They are by far the most comfortable shoes that my feet have ever had the pleasure of wearing! The downside to these shoes is that there is a hint of an odour. I'm hoping that when these shoes really do get a work out that they don't let me down on the odour front. There is no ventilation for the footbed which is almost encased like wearing a trainer. So I fear they may well start to smell like an old pair of trainers over time. Another problem I have is that I have to by outfits that coordinate with my shoes (I must be colour coordinated). There are a choice of colours so choose your favourite!
