Mezlan

The brown/tan is a little darker than I expected, however, they are beautiful in person. The attention to detail is fantastic. Each shoe is in an individual cloth bag, there are extra laces, even the box they are in is of high quality. I have a standard 10m size foot, and these fit perfectly. Because of the styling, they are a bit long, however, that does not detract from the fit. They do look bigger than a size 10, but are not "clownish" in appearance. They are a bit over-dressed for jeans, but I have worn them out with jeans and they really look nice. They are stiff when new, but break in pretty quickly. I wouldn't walk around Disneyland all day in these, but they are more than comfortable enough to wear for an evening out. These would be worth the original list, but on Sierra Trading post at 1/2 the price, they are a steal. Having typically bought Clarks over the last few years (which are nice), there's no comparison with these if you want to dress up a bit.

These are very cool looking shoes. They look well made as most of the Mezlan shoes that I have do also. I sent them back because I didn't like the color. They look like they go well with a zoot suit. I don't have any zoot suits but when I do, I'll be sure to look for these shoes to match.

Shoes had great potential when viewed on line, but were a great disappointment in real life. I ordered my usual Mezlan size of 10.5 and it fits perfectly all around, however, the styling is quite odd. The toe cap extends at least an inch beyond normal, hence the "clown shoe" description. The shoe looks like an 11.5-12 on my foot. Sizing down will not work, since the rest of the shoe will then be too tight and small. Further, the side of the shoe comes up too high, causing the stiff leather to cut into my ankle.

I have owned Mezlan shoes for many years. This is my third pair and I am equally happy with them as past styles & purchases. Had my previous pairs resoled a number of times, but after 10 years, it was just time to replace the uppers on one pair.

I normally buy a square toe shoe. This has more of a point but is confortable and looks good.

These are great shoes. I am on my second pair now and have a third pair waiting. Once one pair gets a little worn out (after about three years) I use that pair as my everyday shoe and the new one for work and going out. One reviewer said they are a little stiff. After about a month they break in very nicely. After a few months, they feel like slippers. The insoles really mold to your feet. I am sad that this style is discontinued. I have been wearing them since 2005. I came back today to order a fourth pair, but unfortunately they are out of my size. Great shoes for a variety of occasions.

At first I bought a size 10.5 WAY too big and I usually wear 9.5 to 10.5. So I went with a 9.5 and they were still too big and they also felt very stiff with almost no cushioning. I felt like I was wearing some wooden clogs.

Great for travel and all around wear

Shoes look and feel great; also get complements from girls.
