I use this thermos for veg/fruit juices after juicing in the morning. It replaces a 12oz plastic container and enjoy having the 16oz stainless steel. The top is easy to use too. I use the teal-colored lid as a reminder to just use for juices and not mix up with my coffee thermos!

I was surprised at the robust design of this thermos. While looking for a compact thermos for my small Melita coffee maker, this was offered to me [...] It is perfect for my needs. I now turn the heating element of the electric maker off when brewing is done and put almost two cups in the thermos with the balance in my coffee cup. I don't know how much energy this saves but the coffee has a consistent taste to the bottom of the thermos, rather than getting bitter when it sits on the heating element. One minor issue / caveat ... you need to pay attention to the moveable part of the stopper and periodically tighten it up. It will work itself loose if you depress the pour spout button and then loosen the top. It took me about ten seconds to figure out how to tighten ... not a flaw, just a design element which needs owner input.

This is an excellent container to pour a drink from - and it keeps the ice in my water for over 12 hours! Even though it is a bit heavy and huge, it is very attractive. The cap can be used for a cup, although it only holds 5 oz. and it is lined with plastic. I wanted this item to be more of a water bottle and I have yet to drink straight from it without dribbling. I intend on taking it on a car trip to Texas to drink hot coffee as we go - it will most likely be perfect for that!

I bought this for my wife who needed a good coffee travel cup for the car. My wife is one of those people who never wears things out or breaks them.
Well, even with my wife's careful use, the drinking top mechanism broke within a week.
OK, so we can't turn the thermos on it's side, we can still use it, right? No!
Another couple of weeks and the screw in thermos top cracked.
It really irritates me that the thermos companies make goods that last three weeks when they should last decades. Add to that another irritation that replacement parts are not available.
The thermos is really good for keeping drinks hot or cold, it's a shame that a stainless steel thermos must be considered flimsy.

  • “Hello :). I would like to know- how many hours does it keep liquids hot for? Thank you ;)!”
Asked by Love HOT HERBAL TEA ^-*!!!! from Pacifica, CA on 7/7/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • As there are varying factors to the temperature of a beverage; outside temperatures, how hot the liquid begins at, etc, there is not a specified amount of time to keep it warm. As it is a normal bottle it will probably keep it warm for a few hours though.

    • I have tested it overnight, and the contents were still warm. Six to seven hours should not be a problem.
