“Just short of junk”

“I bought this for my wife who needed a good coffee travel cup for the car. My wife is one of those people who never wears things out or breaks them. Well, even with my wife's careful use, the drinking top mechanism broke within a week. OK, so we can't turn the thermos on it's side, we can still use it, right? No! Another couple of weeks and the screw in thermos top cracked. It really irritates me that the thermos companies make goods that last three weeks when they should last decades. Add to that another irritation that replacement parts are not available. The thermos is really good for keeping drinks hot or cold, it's a shame that a stainless steel thermos must be considered flimsy.”
