    I almost did not buy this jacket because of previous reviews, and I have found many of the downsides to be true, but I can live with them. The jacket is a bit stiff and noisy and I unrolled the hood to take care of the collar stiffness issue. My main worry is the zipper, which is very tough to reach, difficult to engage properly and a little hard to zip. I"m hoping this gets easier or I get more used to it. Overall though, the jacket fits and looks great. It's not bulky, but roomy enough to fit a fleece underneath. I'm hoping to fall in love with it over time, as I did my old Gore-tex jacket, which is now 16-years-old, paint splattered and has lost all of its wind and water proofing.

    I never used the coat, just sent it back. I was uncertain about the fabric as it seemed stiff and perhaps too much like a raincoat vs. a shell. I was concerned it would be too hot during vigorous outings. Could have been longer. It just wasn't what I was looking for..

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I was disappointed in how stiff the fabric is and the fact that there was absolutely no lining at all. I expected at least a mesh inside. Guess I should have read the description better. I haven't had a chance to try it out in wet weather or cold either, so it is still somewhat untested. It was a lot of money, though, for something as light as it is. The zipper is really difficult to work with too.
