Admittedly, I'm a Mephisto man (have bought several pairs from STP) - but a true believer in their product quality/craftmanship - these sandals don't disappoint with their solid good looks and construction. The velcro strap is a new twist, but I like the easy on/off functionality of it. The leather upper is substantial, but may require a leather protector product to keep dirt and grime from settling in. The footbed is usual Mephsto quality all around - comfortable as usual. These fit true to size right out of the box (although some Mephisto's can run a half-size large). I really like their casual look with jeans and shorts. The STP price was amazing as usual - I waited quite awhile for a deep discount day to purchase - I'm just glad that my size was still available as they're well worth the price.

All Mobils, a speacial line by Mephisto, are LINED WITH A SOFT PADDED LEATHER that makes them the most comfortabe shoe or sandle you will ever wear. As usual these fisherman shoes meet that standard with the bonus of extra ventalation.

Bought these shoes as an early Father's Day gift. Had to end up exchanging them for a half size smaller. My dad otherwise loved them. Said they were well - made and very comfy. I have a pair of Mephisto shoes as well and they are the most comfortable and well-made shoes I have ever worn. Well worth the cost.

About Mephisto

After studying in the United States for six years, twenty-seven year old Martin Michaeli returned to Europe and founded Mephisto, a company that soon became synonymous with extraordinary footwear. Michaeli received his first patent for his special shoemaking process in 1973 and transformed Mephisto into a global brand just two years later. Famous for comfort, Mephisto utilizes exclusive technologies and offers finely crafted shoes with excellent cushioning, support, and breathability. The Air-Techno or fresh air system constantly circulates air throughout the shoe to avoid odor and clamminess. Air-Relax midsoles, Air-Step cushioned removable insoles, and the Soft Walk shock absorbing system are a few more Mephisto breakthroughs that define their continued popularity. Refreshing and rejuvenating, each and every step taken in a Mephisto feels like the first.
