I really wanted this item to work. It has some nice detailing, and I'm sometimes willing to do some alterations or embellishments to make an item work, if the price is right.
On the up-side, the colorful lined cuffs is a plus. The contrasting green topstitching and buttons add interest.

On the downside, the buttons were all barely holding on, and would need to be reinforced. With the cuffs and back-detailing, there are twelve buttons, so this is not a quick job.

The little asymetric watch-pocket on one side of the chest is poorly sewn, and adds nothing to the styling.

But the real deal-breaker is the fact that one side of the bodice on the jacket I received is longer than the other, and this is made obvious by the fact that one pocket is over half an inch higher than the other.

All-in-all, unless you're a person who loves the styling, and doesn't care much about looking neat, I can't recommend this item.

Good for racing around from one activity to the next, meaning that it is versatile enough for ANY casual event, as a shirt OR a jacket, as sportswear OR dressy casual. Its large number of external seamed features share the common denominator of denim, creating style up the yang-yang, while avoiding "busyness." Have not worn it extensively enough to comment on the button issue or washing results, so did not give it 5 stars.

I have never-ever had a problem with anything I ordered from Sierra Trading! Wore jacket to work, & by lunchtime had lost 2-buttons & remaining 4 were too loose to close. Please check prior to shipping.

I love this jacket because of the unusual style; the contrasting cuffs really set it off. Although it's lightweight, I won't be able to wear it until about November, here in Texas! I rated it 4 stars instead of 5, because the buttons are not sewn on very well; I've re-sewn one and I haven't even worn it yet. But the price was right, and it's an otherwise very nicely made jacket.

I have yet to wear this jacket much outside of the house, but only because winter is holding on here longer than usual. That said, it's really cute and well made. Runs maybe a little small, although I'm big chested and carrying a few extra pounds. Can't wait for spring and next fall.
