    Pros:
    Excellent tailoring, Seem durable
    Cons:
Lint catching fabric, Longer sleeves, No back vents
    Best Uses:
    Casual
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I like this peacoat. The only issue I had was longer than normal sleeve length; I wear size 44 with 34-35 sleeve length but these sleeves are about 2 inches long for me. The fabric attracts lint and will require frequent cleaning. The cut and shape is great. A great buy!

    Pros:
Easily retailored, Excellent overcoat, fabric is exceptional, Longer than US style, Solid Construction, Traditional classic
    Cons:
Fabric has rougher hand, No smooth lining, Sleeves cut long
    Best Uses:
Can be dressed up or down, Overcoat
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Perfect for layering, @ 6'1" and 235lbs, broad shouldered, I ordered a size 50, I am having the sleeves taken up, other than that it will be great over a heavy sweater or winter suit jacket, or both... Coat has a beautifully cut collar and functioning appointments... This is not a trendy fake, it is the real thing. A lining would be nice, but it would take away form the coats sense of authenticity. If you are strongly adverse to wool with a rougher, traditional hand, this coat is not for you.

OK, let me start out by saying I've been shopping at STP for almost 2 decades. Love the service they provide and the deals you can get. But something I've noticed over time is that sometimes the deal's not as sweet as you'd be lead to believe, like in the case of this coat. Now, this IS a GREAT coat, but after much research I'm pretty sure it is NOT made by John Partridge, it's actually made by the Original Montgomery Co. They have a website, so you can see the exact coat, and at a lesser price...that's what really rubs me. STP says the coats's value is X and it's clearly much less. Seems to go against the business ethics they proclaim...So just felt I needed to get that out there. Summary, despite all that, I love the coat, I did get it at a good price with the 30% off coupon and free shipping, and it's exactly what I was looking for, despite the fact that I could have gotten the same coat WITH a lining, directly from the manufacturer, for just a bit more. For me, 6'1", 190, the 42 was good; sleeves only about 3/4" to long, and room for sweater underneath if you wanted. All in all, glad I got it, but STP, keep it honest!!

I bought two of these coats, one for my father and one for my brother who seldom can find jackets with sleeves that are long enough. In both cases, the coat is a perfect fit and they are very pleased. My brother is 6'3" and the 28" sleeve length is just right for him. This is a well made coat in a classic style which will last for many years.
