I do a lot of trail running and I saw these on sale so I thought I would try them. They do run a little big but not so much that they needed to be returned. They are very comfortable and kept my feet cool in the Texas heat and humidity. Love them. Ordered more.

I ordered my normal size in this shoe and they are a little big, but with the right pair of socks they fit nice. The aggressive sole is just what I was looking for in a trail shoe. I am looking forward to many miles with these shoes.

I have been running in the Badrocks for over a year now and have come to really appreciate several features: - the outsoles are great on a variety of terrain - mud, rocks, technical trail - they offer good protection from rocky trails while still allowing decent trail feel. - they are comfortable right out of the box and provide just enough stability for those of us that need it Due to a wide forefoot (bunions) I tend to wear out the medial side of shoes pretty quickly as that area of the upper is strained. I had one pair blow out after only 300 miles - though those were almost exclusively on very technical trail. My other two pairs have lasted 470 and 500+ miles, well into the lifespan of the midsole. Those first three pairs saw me through training for, and running, my first 100 mile trail ultra. When I had the opportunity to pick up a couple more pairs I was quite pleased as I have not encountered another shoe on the market that I think works as well for my feet or the local trail conditions.

I ordered these shoes because it was a super buy and I needed a new pair of trail running shoes. Reviews said they run big, I wear a 6 or 6 1/2 so ordered 5 1/2 and they fit perfect. Went running and they are very comfortable with good support and traction. I liked them so well I ordered another pair for work as I'm on my feet all day. When the day is over your feet aren't tired and sore. Highly recommend.

I really wanted to like this shoe. All the reviews were great and it's super comfly and has great arch support. The only drawback is that it was too small. Other reviews had said it ran large. I usually wear an 11 so I ordered the 10.5. I wish I hadn't because it was too short. Unfortunately Sierra Trading Post didn't have it in a size 11 so I'm seriously considering returning it.

I purchased this shoe due to comments from others with plantar fasciitis. I have PF, and morton's neuroma, plus balance issues from herniated disc. All that being said, these shoes do run big. I usually get a 10 in merrel's, keens and salomons. I also need a wide toe box. In this shoe I got a 9.5 - left about 1 inch of toe room so probably could have sized down. The first thing you notice when you put these on is they cradle your heel and you feel the arch support. So different from any other shoe I have had that I had reservations on whether these would work or not. I have worn them casually on two different occasions for several hours at a time - wanted to break them in easily before working out in them. I will probably run in them and perhaps backpack on flat terrain, but they are loose enough that going up hills I have noticed too much "play" in them and am afraid they may contribute to a fall. All that being said, would suggest that anyone else try a full size down. To sum up, good arch support, wide toe box, decent tred, get one size down.

So glad I finally tried this brand. Many athletic shoes swim on us narrow-footed ones, needing to be cinched up so much they buckle in the middle. Add to that heel slippage- a sure recipe for blisters. Love the support, the great orange color, comfort right out of the box! Just received my second pair of Montrail shoes in a different style and they get an "A", too!
