Immediate great fit and comfort. Used these boots snow shoeing on an impromtue trip, worked out perfectly in very inclement weather in deep powder. Feet stayed warm & dry. Can use thick socks or thinner ones with equal ease and good fit. I am very pleased with these boots!

I take good care of gear, but I use it hard. These never even made it out the door. The boots are totally cool in styling, and I was eager to get out and use them, but they have been manufactured too narrow for the average foot. I even bought them one size larger than I wear! They were on clearance, and I see why. A deal is only a deal if it fits and works!

I wear these boots in the snow walking the dog. My feet stay warm dry and toasty the whole time. There was a small break in window, but I expected that. Boots are heavy but to me, that just helps strengthen my legs. I got a great deal through Sierra Trading Post which makes me like them even more.

I have been trying boots ad nauseum. These were the best fit of all - quite comfy and snug - but heavy - and I thought I'd regret keeping them because I feared my feet would be hot if I wore them as everyday shoes. I work in an office - but take hikes at lunch and after work and don't want to have to bother with switching out shoes... The day after I returned them we got major snowstorm, and I regret sending them back! Nothing else I've tried has fit as well. The confusing thing is I ordered the same size in the Torres - and they are much too small - so back to the starting block we go... Again, biggest deterrent is the weight - especially thickness at top of lace-up - and that it's such a full lace-up. Good luck out there!

These arrived the day before eighteen inches of snow fell in my area. Wore these for the first time to shovel snow and to walk the dog. Provided great traction and kept my feet warm.

I have only worn these three times before filling out the product comment, so the boots may be "durable," but it is too early to tell. I look forward to trying them out on a short backpack trip this year.

Montrail makes great boots. And this model is one of their best. Not only do you get the comfort and fit Montrail is known for, you also get waterproof boots that will keep your feet dry while hiking in the rain or fording small streams. I bought this boot for my girl friend, and she said the boot was comfortable right out of the box and doesn't have an extended break in period.

I wear these boots every morning for a two mile hike. So far its been very muddy, icy and snowy, and I have no complaint. I haven't gotten them out for a good hike yet but I'm sure I'll have no problem with these boots. Love Them!!!
