These are incredibly comfortable boots! They have a great tread, plenty of toe room, and are good in cold weather. I ordered a half size up so I could wear heavier socks with them.

For the first time, I wore these on a 8 hour day hike in hilly, rough terrain, wading through water, etc. and took an old pair with me in case I had a problem with the new boots. NO PROBLEM... I wore them all day - they were great!

I ordered the size I normally would in a boot, size 10; (usually a 9 1/2 in shoes). This boot fits perfectly. I would not want it any smaller. Feels very sturdy and appears to be well made. This is my first pair of Montrails and I'm so glad I purchased them.

I use the shoes in the city and out on the trails with my dogs. I usually find it hard to find a shoe/hiking shoe to fit comfortably . I have narrow feet. I was really glad I found them. I have orthotics. So i just remove the insoles and put the orthotics in. Feels like they were made for them. I found that there was no breakin period at all. Just laced them and go.

I love these! The sole is quite comfortable, however, I found the top of the shoe deffinitely needs some breaking in. It is really stiff, but with some wear it should be fine. Other than the tongue and top of shoe being a bit stiff, it is very comfortable. Can't wait to try them backpacking. I did originally order a size 8, which is what I wear, however, I had to go up a 1/2 size, if that helps anyone.

These seem like good, durable dayhike shoes, but they seem to take a bit to break in. There is plenty of toe room, but if you are on the line between two sizes definitely go with the larger. I appreciate the snug fit provided by the elastic piece that connects the tongue to the shoe. There is room for insoles in these shoes without squishing your feet. My feet are pretty picky, and they aren't quite sure whether they like these shoes yet.
