Haven't had these kicks out on one of our adventures yet but that's because they are for the wife! She loved them and agrees that they were well worth the $$. Once we get some miles on them I'll ask her for a full opinion. So far they are great around town & at the house.

I am very happy that I bought these shoes. The shoes are great in the snow if you go hiking or even light running. I like the fact that they are light and comfortable. I bought one size larger than needed which is good. The only problem was that the first few times wearing the shoes it was hard on my left ankle, the shoe being a little stiff. I had to tie my shoe below the ankle. Two weeks later, it is fine and I don't have a problem with my ankles. I already recommended the shoes to my friends.

I have been tired of my heavy hiking boots and these were a good alternative. As someone who rock climbs and recognizes the Montrail brand, I got 1/2 size up (I usually wear a 6 wide). Rock climbing shoes are meant to be a tight fit so you don't slip out of your shoe and these shoes are built for scrambling on rocky terrain. These are great in mud, snow, and wet weather conditions, but not deep snow as the breathable layers on top will get wet.

I bought these boots to hike the fjords of Norway but I've also been using them to walk my dogs. They're great for around town, the beach and trails. I'm pretty happy with them!
