    My foot doctor told me to try these after a tendon tear. The shoes have been the best investment over the last 4 years. Each type of Montrail supports different foot issues (see their website for details). I have tried other montails but this has the best support for my foot than the other types of montrail shoes.

    It's difficult to say if I'd like this shoe. It doesn't fit my foot. I hesitate to go a full size up in a shoe, somehow, it seems the fit is compromised at that point. I think it would be a great stable, comfortable, if a little heavy, shoe if the fit was right for you.

    Every time I try another trail runner, I go back to the Hardrock. The combination of fit, good construction, and good protection from rocks makes other shoes pale in comparison. My only fear is that they will stop making it.
