“Not Salomons, but very good.”

By Number 74Verified Reviewer from Portland, Oregon on 10/10/2008
Pros:
Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction
Cons:
Not for pavement
Best Uses:
All Weather Conditions, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain
Describe Yourself:
Competitive Athlete, Trail Jogger
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
“I'm a mid-distance trail runner/scrambler who likes to get muddy and wet, and when I couldn't find the Salomons I wanted on sale, I picked up these "trail shoes", which are 3 oz. lighter than the Continental Divide "trail runners".(?) They are bulkier and heavier than most Salomon trail runners, but will probably last longer. They don't dry super-quick, but the tread, flexibility, and toebox work for me, and they fit my narrowish foot well. I'll get the Salomons come race season, but these will work great for winter training in the woods. I get the feeling the treads would wear down very quickly on pavement, so I wouldn't recommend these as all-around shoes at all.”
