I am also a trail runner and although I did not get this pair for that purpose, I think they would have worked well for that as well.

I've had water run up and over my laces and the shoes be almost completely submerged in water and my feet stayed 100% dry! I also wore them to a music festival that took place during a deluge, same situation. They're comfortable, can be worn all day, and are truly waterproof!

I originally ordered a half size up as recommended but they were way too big so I had to send them back and size down.
