I was training for an ultra marathon last year and was having trouble finding shoes that I wanted to wear for my 30 mile trail runs. These shoes have just the right balance between cushioning and rigid soles so that you're stable but don't feel all the rocks on the trail. These shoes were also recommended to me because they correct for slight over-pronation.

After wearing the Montrail Hard Rocks, I thought these shoes felt too light to be protective on the rocky trails. I wore them for a technical 50 miler though and they were great. No complaints at all.

Been using these more than my Keens for the hikes with the dog. Single track with lots of roots and rocks. Been providing great traction and support. Very pleased with purchase. Thanks STP.
