About a year ago, I was in the market for a new pair of work out shoes. I saw these and read the reviews. Deciding to give them a try, I bought a pair. I have never looked at another pair of workout shoes since and have also bought two more pairs of these shoes. My biggest problem is so often there is a lack of arch support and since i have a fairly high arch, that is something I need. These shoes have that and are oh so comfortable. Plus, from Sierra, they are amazingly affordable! Thanks, Sierra Trading Post!

I read the reviews and some said it ran true to size and one or two said to go up a half size. I went up from my normal 9 1/2 to a size 10. The 10 is perfect and the cushioning nd/or arch support is great. I have a narrow foot and was afraid that the toe box would be too big but it is just fine. I bought it for trail running near our cabin but so far I am wearing it for errands and walks etc. Very comfortable shoe. The price was excellent, too. I'm looking forward to the trail runs.

The trail shoes I enjoy wearing are more flexible than these. The rave reviews from others led me to try them, but they were just a lot stiffer than the Merrell siren sport shoes and Addidas Vigor trail shoes that I enjoy. Just a matter of individual tastes I guess. Maybe breaking them in would have fixed the stiffness, but then I would've committed to keeping them, and that seemed to be a gamble.

This shoe is a good old friend. We've gone many miles together, happily. So when I saw them on STP I bought 2 pair. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE...make my feet happy & I run so fast in them!! Great grip on steep rocky slopes. Feet completely protected from sharp objects. Excellent support for entire foot.

No break in required. Good grip on volcano crater hiking first time truly tested. Nice support. I'm a fan.

i bought these shoes for trail running but they are cumbersome for that so have used them as light hiking shoes and they are terrific. i have a very narrow foot and find the toe box to be a little too roomy for me. good for someone who requires that space

I just started wearing them and they were comfortable from the start. There is space in the toes box which is important to me. I read the other reviews which is why I picked these. I also am not an over pronator and many of the running shoes are for over pronation. This pair didn't mention that.

Been wearing these shoes for a week now and just love the comfortable fit and feel of these shoes! No achy feet, plenty of room in the toe box and no rubbing on the heel. Just great all around fit. I have high arches and plantars fasciitis and these shoes are supportive and comfy even without my molded arch supports. Love them!!

I had never tried on a pair of Montrails before but decided to try them after researching a variety of reviews. I did decide to go a half size up based on many recommendations, and the shoes fit perfectly. They have excellent arch support and I can wear these for hours. I plan on purchasing more in the future, because of how amazing these are.

I am in between an 8 and 8.5, having never bought this brand before I decided to order an 8.5. Unfortunately too big so I will exchange them for the size 8. The colors are great, the shoe is light, and the fit is perfect. Very comfortable and well built, looks like it will last a long time. Highly recommend this shoe!
