“I used these instead of my more substantial all-leather, goretex boots on a recent trip to the Rockys (~11 miles). They were fabulous. I had worn them only one day to break them in before the trip but they were heaven on my feet. I am now converted to light-weight boots when possible. I found them to be reasonably water-resistant for their mesh design. The openness lets some dust in but it was no big deal. The most surprising thing about the boots, however, was that despite how light they are, they provide plenty of stiffness in the sole and all-around support. A great buy!”
