I wear these boots everyday working and hiking. It took a few days for them to break in and at one point I thought of returning them. Once they broke in they feel great. They are waterproof and have great support. I also ordered 1/2 size larger. If I hadn't they would be too small. The boots would still be tight if using wool socks. However they are a great buy and I would buy them again and recommend them to a friend.

I got these boots a half size too big because they were out of my size at the time. It really hasn't made that much difference. These are very comfortable boot! The week after I got them I went portaging and Canoeing in the Boundry Waters. I was up to my ankel most of the time and water never got in. If you do get these boots wet there is a few day dry time. Otherwise I think they can handle any terrain and weather condition.

These boots fit my feet like a glove. Montrail's ergonomic research into fitting our feet paid off. These were first hiking boots, then everyday boots. They are lighter, therefore, more flexible and not stiff. Because they are lighter and flexible, they do not have the ultimate support that more Heavy Duty boots do, but, these are FAR more comfortable. I got no blisters from them. These are great boots for everyday wear and for faster, lighter hikes or backpack trips. They are especially good for terrain where your foot must bend A LOT and where heal blisters could be a big problem. I have had mine for 3-4 years now and will be replacing them with the same new boot. OH YES, I wear orthotics and the original footbed pads pulled out easily and these boots accepted my orthotics immediately and with no problems.
