“Footwear is highly subjective on the demensions of one's own feet. However, If the Montrail Torre fits your feet after a reasonably short break-in, you will most likely be satisfied with this product. I average about 700 miles of Appalachian Trail per pair that I have owned. The stability of the heel cup is immediately evident even to one like me who tends to roll ankles. The durable soles spread body and pack weight evenly and does not batter my feet on rough terrain. Traction is very acceptable on steep slanting rock. It is not uncommon to see other AT hiker's wearing this boot and I must say that I have yet to hear one give the Torre anything but praise.”
