Montrail Traverse Gore-Tex® Hiking Boots - Waterproof (For Women)

I bought this pair of Montrail boots after my previous Montrail boots lasted 10 years. I was very sad to part with the last pair. So far I am very pleased with the new ones. I've been on a couple of short hikes, both in wet weather, and have worn them working in my yard and walking my dog. After just a couple of times, it felt like they were broken in. Plenty of toe room, good ankle fit when tied well, and so far they have been water resistance.

The boots looked nice, the price was great, and they were adequately durable and waterproof. However, a hike up and down Green Mountain proved them to be too snug in the toe box and not all that comfortable, especially trekking downhill. I'm going to return them in hopes of finding a better fit with something else.

Great boots for hiking, everyday use in the snow, and trail walks. Very comfortable and warm, and Gore-tex is a huge plus!

As a land Surveyor I have to walk through all sorts of terrain. i ahve found hiking boots to be the best footware. These boots are light wweight and an overall good value!!

Comfortable right out of the box. In some light they look green and in other light they look brown.

I wore these boots on the hiking spree at the local metro parks. They are very durable and not too terribly heavy but they are stiff. Also the inside is not very cushioned. They fit well but make sure to wear thick socks or add gel insoles. I'd buy these again.
