Montrail Upper Ocoee Water Booties - Whitewater Paddling (For Women)

Well made, thick in the right spaces, flexible but sturdy traction sole, would provide great protection against ankle scrapes, rocks, thorns... Unfortunately, we had a thick footed high arch girl would COULD NOT get her foot through the narrow opening. I've seen this same problem in cowboy boots too. We had to return unused.

My foot is a size 5 1/2 and I always have trouble finding shoes that fit. I ordered the size 6 and they fit great! The traction seems great, as does the material, but I have yet to try them in the water.

I really like these booties. They look nice and fit well. Friends ask where I got them. They have good traction, are supportive yet flexible and fit in a playboat where foot room can be a premium. I did buy a half size up. I wish I bought two pairs.

I would advise anyone to go up one-size because I had to return them. Overall the shoe's quality was quite good.

I bought these so I could extend my paddling season with my paddling group, they paddle year round. Haven't used them yet, still trying to outfit myself for cold water. I did try them on, little hard for me being they are new. I was told the more they're used the easier it would be to put on and once I got them on I liked the feel of them. Can't wait til I'm completely outfitted for cold water so I can try them out.

I wear a 6 and these size 6 booties felt smaller than a 5. they were so nice, though. I was very disappointed that the 7's were sold out.

My first pair, but came smack up to big toe and I'm sure they shouldn't be that tight. I have to return them and of course they don't have a bigger size. Oh well, will keep shopping. Once you learn how to put these on, it's not so bad.

i use these on kayaking and rafting. the gryptonite rubber sole is great on slippery rocks and slippery raft. the toe rand and the heel cup protect my feet well on scouting missions and riverside canyoneering outings. when i ordered it initially it did not say it's for women. but its women's size 7 fits snug tight as it should be on my men's size 6.5 to 7 feet. the lip of one of the bootie's top started to unstich but stp replaced my pair right away. thanks

These are so comfortable and warm when I'm spending time in the river. Very durable material and solid padding on the sole to keep the bruising from hitting rocks at bay. Love 'em.

I'm a whitewater kayaker and I use these shoes several times a week. I have not had them for long so I can't speak on their durability yet, but they are by far the best river booties I've ever owned. I can climb over slippery wet rocks and not slip once. They have a low profile so they fit well in my kayak. The two velcro adjustment help to provide an optimal fit. And they dry faster than other brands I've had. Overall, they are the best ever. I wanted to buy another pair for when this one gives out, but they don't have my size anymore...
