In fact the recipient said that she already owned a Moon throw, which she loves and was excited to see this one arrive. The different hues in the tartan complement her earlier Moon (not planned by me) so she can enjoy them both in the same room. The four Moon throws that I have are all beautiful, comfy, not scratchy, and toasty warm.

Reviewed by MJDC from Wash, DC on Thursday, January 24, 2013This is a beautiful blanket BUT if you are thinking that it is a substitute for the Johnstons Utility Blankets, think again. This lacks the thickness, softness, and durability of the Johnstons. This is a very nice blanket, but it is much thinner and a bit more scratchy. It is still soft enough to cuddle up with though. It doesn't provide near the warm or weight of the Johnstons though.

These throws hold their shape, don't wrinkle and have a beautiful color combination. I love them so much I got one in another color to use as a bed scarf, and to curl up under and read. Truly beautiful!
