Great, Great, Great!!!! In 2008 I saw the exact same coat in an consignment shop for [$]: thought the color was neutral and the sleeves were long enough. I am amazed tonight to see what my Heavenly Father provided for me! PS this little coat has replace a jacket that I have worn for over 15 years: that was design to be worn by people that worked in freezers for a lengthy time during the day.

I bought this jacket mainly for an around-town shell. The color is a really vibrant navy and the Moonstone logo accents give it a nice touch. I am extremely pleased with the look and function of this shell, given the exceptionally low price. I wore it on a short hike and found a fair amount of perspiration had accumulated inside. So I would definately want to run it through a few more paces on local hiking trails before taking it on a backpacking trip. The jacket is very light weight due to the simplicity of design; not a lot of unecessary detail and frill that would otherwise add undesireable weight to someone wanting to pack light.

Second Moonstone jacket. Actually for wife. She loves it and plans to use as a "shell" for spring skiing and as rain jacket in spring/fall.

My previous shell was a NF Mountain Light. So I had high expectations. I didnt expect this to be this tough. I work as a geologist and Chicagoland's winters are no cakewalk. This one has held up very nicely for the last one and half years. You have to open the pit zips to vent nicely though. Wind,snow and water wont get to you at all! Sad to see Moonstone disappear.

Great for skiing with lightweight fleece underneath.

We returned it as it was not at all what we thought. My friend was buying it for a boy in need of warmth. It has no warm lining whatsoever!

Great lightweight jacket that can be used alone as a rain jacket but is tough enough and has the features to ski in. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. The only bad thing I can say is that it does not allow you to zip in an insulating layer. Other than that this jacket is great!

Colors (styling) are great, mobility is great, fit is great. The lift ticket display window is pretty cool, but size does not accomodate all lift tickets and is impractical for mountains that utilize scannable lift cards. Could use some more internal pockets. The hood remains attached, a feature that gets annoying on the steeps and the bumps.
